Have A Seat Birthday Girl!

This birthday card features the Have A Seat stamp set.  I have had this set for some time now and I haven't used it yet, until now.  I made this card for my friend, Lynne.  When she first looked at the catalog when I became a demonstrator, she said she loved this set.  So, I filed it away in my memory bank to use for her birthday.  I hope she likes it!

My inspiration for this card came from the IB&C, page 139.  I love the way the corner is flipped up to reveal the A to Z stamp on the underneath.  The flower with the brad adds the perfect touch of whimsy!  The stamp sets used were Have A Seat, A to Z and Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The colors used were Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke.  The trim was punched with the Scallop Edge Border in Basic Black.  I used the Color Spritzer for the first time and I have to say it may just be my new best friend!!  I also used a touch of the 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Basic Black, a button, some Linen Thread, a vintage safety pin and a Basic Rhinestone on the tag punched with the Jewelry Tag Medium Punch.  I sponged everything in Basic Black.  The Cajun Craze flower was punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and I used a Clear Rhinestone Brad in the center to attach it to the Crumb Cake.  I stamped another chair on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and spritzed & sponged it before I added a scalloped border in Basic Black.  The sentiment was stamped twice.  I used the Stampin' Write marker in Basic Black and colored each word on the stamp separately and then punched them out with the Jewelry Tag Medium punch.  It's a neat way to use a stamp a different way.  The words fit perfectly into the punch once I stamped them separately.  I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon for more projects!

Way too cute! It's great you shared what the inside looks like too. Love the little tags with the sentiment. A beautiful work of art Amy!

Fantastic card! This is one of my favorite sets. The ribbon treatment tops it all off perfectly.
