Hostess Gift #2

This is another gift package I gave my hostess, Beth, this past Saturday.  The idea for the card and the post-it note holder came from Angie Kennedy Juda.  I just switched the colors and whipped up a few cards and packaged them up in a clear storage envelope.  I finished it off with a pretty ribbon and tag accent.  Very cute, fast, and easy!  These would also be cute teacher gifts!

This is a post-it note holder that I made to coordinate with the set of notecards.  I used the Friends 24-7 stamp on the background since I thought it tied in with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder I used on the cards.
I used Frost White shimmer paint over the embossing on the cards to add a little interest.  I was very happy with the way everything turned out.

Stop by soon and I will have one of the Make 'n Takes to show you.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hostess Gift

I had a workshop this past weekend.  It was a lot of fun.  This was one of the hostess gifts that I gave to Beth.  She was my hostess and she did a wonderful job!  This would also be a cute teacher or co-worker gift.

The bow looks huge in the picture but in reality it looked really cute.  I baked some chocolate chip cookies and packaged them in this little jar.  I tied it with the 1-1/4" Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.  My tag was made with the Homemade stamp. I stamped it twice with Basic Black ink, once on Whisper White cardstock and another time on the Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I cut out the Whisper White and popped it up with dimensionals.  I then added the Basic Rhinestones as the Bling!!  I will show you the second hostess gift I gave to Beth on my next post.

Thank you Beth for inviting me into your home to have a fun afternoon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Almost Good Enough To Eat!

This is something I made for a friend of mine at work that is having a baby girl.  I was blog surfing one day and came across this idea and thought I could put it to good use for my friend's baby shower.  Hope you like it!

The cupcakes are made out of onesies and receiving blankets.  They were pretty easy to make.  You can find the tutorial here.  I made the flowers on the "icing" with the Floral Fusion die and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  The heart was made from the heart in the Two Step Owl Punch.  Of course I had to add some bling so I added the Basic Rhinestones.

Stop back again for another fun project!

Baby Giraffe

This card was almost not going to happen.  Do you ever get stumped when trying to make something and then want to crumple it up and throw it out?  I must have looked at this stamp for ten minutes wondering what I was going to do with it.  I wanted something simple, and feminine because it was getting late and I had lost my mojo!  This is what I ended up with and have to say, I am pleased with the result.  Just so you know, I tried a rhinestone for the eye and took it off.  It looked like one of those goldfish with the bulging eyes.  It creeped me out a bit since the eye was almost as big as the head!  So I carefully took off the rhinestone and replaced it with a circle of crumb cake.  This way it doesn't shout "EYE!"  Hope you like it!

The spots on the giraffe were made with the tiniest circles from the Two Step Owl Punch.  I liked the dimension it added to the card.

The Easiest Card I Have Ever Made!

I almost feel guilty showing you this card.  It is the easiest card I have EVER made!!  I was dying to try the new Bliss set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and it was getting late.  The house was dark, Emma was asleep and my Dish was on the fritz since it was raining outside.  I was tired and just about to clean up my stamping supplies in my stamp room and thought I should try out my new set.  So I did and this is the quickest card I ever made. It literally took me two minutes!! I like the simplicity of this card, hope you do too!

I couldn't resist sponging this card, but this time I did it in Whisper White.  I originally wasn't going to put anything on it but the flourish, but somehow I got a little smudge of ink on the bottom so I covered it up with the little bird.  Turns out, I kinda like it there!  Of course, I needed to add the bling to the Bliss, even simplicity can SPARKLE!

Enjoy your day, thanks for stopping by!

Clearly For You

This little goody is similar to one we made at a local Demo Meeting a while back, I changed the colors up a bit to accommodate what I had on hand.  I also saw one like it on Shelli Gardner's blog.  Shelli is the co-founder of Stampin' Up! and it was on her display board from her open house.  I believe it is one that was made at a Stampin' Up! demonstrator event like leadership or something like that. I am not sure what colors she used, but I used River Rock, Always Artichoke and Basic Black.  I think it turned out darling!

Be sure to stop back soon for another project.  My next project is super easy and didn't take any time at all!  I can't say that very often!

Thanks for stopping by!

Rustic Birthday!

This card just screams "Rustic" to me.  It is perfect for both genders since it is not frilly but has a hint of color with the single flower on the seat.  Again, I only used minimal colors, seems to be a theme with me, but I love the way it turned out.  It has a lot of texture and warmth!  Enjoy!

Stamps:  Have A Seat, On Your Birthday, Sanded

Elegant Thank You

This is a card I came up with in a hurry.  I made these flowers for the first time and wanted to put them on something, fast!  This is what I came up with.  It is a crisp, clean card with absolutely NO SPONGING!!  I cannot believe it.  It tried to reach for the sponge, but couldn't do it.  I didn't feel this was that kind of card.  Maybe next time!!  Enjoy!

Stamps: Because I Care (Level 1 Hostess Set)
Ink:  Soft Suede
Paper:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Elegant Soiree DSP, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla

Thoughts & Prayers

This is a sweet little get well card I made with a simple color scheme.  I used the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set as the feature.  Enjoy!

For a small 4X4 card with limited colors, it packs a lot of detail!  I especially like the contrast of the white in the centers of the flowers.  I used the White Gel Pen #105021 to accomplish that very detail!  I like how it "pops" against the muted color of the card.  I used a tiny bit of Pretty In Pink 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to peek out from behind the card front layer.  The tiny pink flowers are made by using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack flower punch.  I sponged those too!!  The centers of those flowers are mini button brads from the Vintage Trinkets.  I absolutely cannot live without that little container of hardware!!  It is item #118764 and you get 48 trinkets for only $5.95!!  That is where the safety pin for the tag embellishment came from too.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Thoughts & Prayers, Wonderfully Worn
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pretty In Pink
Accessories:  Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Vintage Trinkets, Medium Jewel Tag Punch, uni-ball Signo Gel Pen, Linen Thread, Modern Label Punch

Ouch!

This is similar to a card I made for my nephew when he broke his ankle playing football.  The card I made for him was masculine.  I remade it with a more feminine feel to it. The band-aid was made with the Petal Card Extra Large Punch #119273, I just snipped off two of the petals!  I embossed the band-aid with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder #117335.  This is another tiny card, but I didn't want the band-aid to get lost on a larger card.  Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!  Come back again for another project!

Simple St. Patrick's Day Card

Just though I'd share a quick card I came up with for St. Patrick's Day.  It is a tiny card with some layers and dimension.  I love small cards because you don't have to use a lot of paper and I think the embellishments make a bigger impact.

FYI:  Sale-a-bration ends March 31st!  To see what it is about, click here!  Also, if your wish list is a long one, you may want to consider becoming a demonstrator and get all of the discounts and goodies!  It is a great time to sign up.  You can read all of the details here!

Thanks for stopping by, come back soon for another project!
