It's Official!

Well, it's official!  My little one has officially started Kindergarten today.  She was so excited and nervous at the same time.  We were standing at the end of the driveway chatting and laughing thinking where did all of the time go?  Then we saw the bus coming down the road and all of a sudden it hit me, she is growing up!  It happened so fast!  Once the bus came she got right on and sat down and was gone, just like that.  So fast,  I teared up as she drove away on that big yellow bus.  I didn't want to cry in front of her since I didn't want to  scare her or make her feel bad so I tried to hold off as long as I could. Hopefully it will get easier each day.

Here is a pic of Emma with a cute little sign that I printed from here.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Rustic Birthday

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  It was pretty busy around here.  My husband installed a fence along the front of our house this weekend.  It looks great!  It is the perfect backdrop for all of my little touches.  I'm thinking of tying cornstalks to the post for fall, lighted garland for Christmas, some kind of lighted vine for summer....just some ideas!  Anyhoo, I wanted to share with you a birthday card I made.  I used some new goodies and was very pleased with the results.  Hope you like it!

I love the soft color combination on this card.  Very muted and understated but I like that.  Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Colorful Thank You

Hello everyone!  Happy Friday...here is another thank you I whipped up.  I used a purse as my inspiration since I had a mental block and couldn't come up with anything.  I originally made my own patterned paper using a circle & dot stamp set in various colors and planned on using that as my card base. When I was done stamping the background piece, I hit a road block again!  Then I decided to cut the paper into little strips and use it as accents and I was much happier with it.  Hope you like it!
This was my inspiration, a purse.  Granted it looks more paisley than circles and dots, but I don't have any paisley stamps...at least not yet!

I used Glossy Accents for the first time.  It is awesome!  I  stamped this swirl image from the set in Wisteria Wonder and punched them out with the 1/2'' Circle Punch.  Next I covered the circle with the Glossy Accents and let dry.  I made my own embellishments super quick.  It added dimension and shine to the card without being blingy..if that is even a word!

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Fit For A Boy

Hello everyone!  Happy Wednesday...hope all is well in your world!  I was recently commissioned to make some favor tags for a baby shower to welcome a little boy into the world.  I was given free reign to come up with a tag suitable to tie onto a favor, possibly a mini Yankee Candle.  The only request was that it have a pinwheel on it.  This is what I came up with.  I had a lot of fun making these, hope you like it!

I printed the tags out on my computer using this font.  There were quite a few steps to this tag but I did them in steps over the course of a few days.  I love the vintage airplanes in this pattern paper, too cute!

Golden Anniversary

Hello everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I just wanted to share a card with you that I made for my aunt and uncle.  They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, what an accomplishment! I had a hard time finding something gold that didn't look cheesy!  So I opted for a simple palate of Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.  I then went along the die cut numbers and label with some shimmer paint to add a little sparkle but not too glitzy.  Hope you like it!
