Papertrey Make It Monday: Reverse Applique

Hello everyone!  Things have been a little hectic around here lately.  Just popping in to share a card I made for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge.  Better late than never, right?  Hopefully you all have enjoyed your weekend.  Mine was a busy one but I got a lot accomplished.  Hope you like the card!

The first attempt at this card was stitched on the sewing machine, YIKES!  What was I thinking?  I can hardly sew a straight line let alone go around a snowflake for goodness sake!  So, I did the next best thing....stitched with a white pen!  I used one of the Damask Snowflake Dies from Papertrey Ink and also the Peace Die from the Wonderful Words: Holiday Die Collection.  I ran the tiny snowflake (SU!) and the Peace die through my Xyron and then covered them in Lily White Glitter Sugar Coating by Doodlebug.  The background paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Just wanted to share a quick picture of my daughter Emma.  We were playing around outside today and she let me take some snapshots of her.  She was really enjoying herself and I had a lot of fun too! It is hard to believe that she will be turning six this month!
I was playing around with the antiquing and contrast buttons in my photo editing software.  Not sure if I did in correctly but I like the way it turned out.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
