Happy, Happy Birthday

I don't know about you but I am a paper hoarder!  I can used solid cardstock all day long, till the cows come home but Designer Paper is like gold to me.  I don't know why I have always had this hang up about cutting into a new piece of designer paper.  It is so pretty and I think to myself "I don't want to use it up now, what if I need it for something else?"  But guess what, that line of thinking just leads to the designer paper just sitting in it's original sealed package or it's paper pad!  So I am taking an unofficial paper-crafting vow to dive into my designer paper and start creating!! Yeah for me!  I can always buy more, right?  It's only paper, very pretty paper at that, but only paper!

This card is just what I needed to get my feet wet so to speak.  I used paper from the Happy Days 6x6 paper pad from Simple Stories.  Love this paper pad!  This is evident since I had the pad about a year and am now finally using it, see what I mean?  Anyway, the card is on an A2 card base made with Kraft cardstock from PTI.  I used oodles of supplies to make this a "Happy" card.  Hope you like it!

I even used some scraps and adhered them to the inside to stamp the sentiment.  I love how it turned out.  I like the fact that it is not plain or that I didn't have to used a layer of cardstock matted on the inside for the sentiment.  It adds personality and as a bonus, you are not wasting your materials!

Please stop back tomorrow, I will be showing you a card I made for my husband for Father's Day.

Thanks for coming by!
