Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #68: Pocket Cards

Well...better late than never, right?  I have been itching to make this card all week and have not had time until today.  Yesterday was spent switching Emma's closet to all of her summer clothes.  You know when it sounds like a good idea and then you get into it and wish you hadn't started a project.  Well, that was me yesterday. I had her bed completely covered in clothes and wanted to call it quits.  I hung in there and finished but no, that wasn't good enough.  I thought since her closet was all neat and tidy her room should be too.  So I dusted, vacuumed, etc.  Glad that job is OVER!

Anyway, you didn't come here to read about my chores so I will continue onto the card I made for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge.  I loved the video and couldn't wait to start my own card.  This is what I came up with.  Hope you like it!

I used Kraft cardstock and Rustic Cream cardstock from PTI.  The ink used was True Black from PTI along with Tim Holz Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Crumb Cake from Stampin' Up!.  The sentiment on the circle was stamped from PTI's Just The Ticket stamp set on a circle die cut from the Limitless Layers 1-3/4" Circle Die Collection.  I used some SU! Crumb Cake ink and stamped the newsprint from the Background Basic: Newsprint set.  The sentiment on the inside was from the Big Birthday Wishes stamp set stamped in True Black ink.  The background was stamped with Spool Labels from Prima.  My favorite part of this whole card was that I was able to use the spools with the Simple Circles Border Die.  It worked like a charm!  The buttons are also from Papertrey Ink.  I used some Button Twine from PTI and some black ribbon from my stash to complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by!
