Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #79: Fabric Die Cuts

Hello everyone!  Just wanted to post a card I made for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge.  I was so excited to see the video from Melissa Phillips on the Make It Monday Challenge this week.  I am so thrilled that she has ventured into making videos.  I love her style and to see her in action is so inspiring.

I tried this new technique that was shown in the video and I have to say, it was a little harder than I thought.  I was in a hurry which probably didn't help the situation at all.  One thing I did have to mess around with was adding some shims of cardstock to my Cuttlebug sandwich to cut through the fabric.  One of the patterns was heavier than the other so I had to adjust that a bit.  Also, I should have waited a little longer for the adhesive to dry.  All in all though it was a fun new technique that I might try again in the future.  Here is what I came up with, a little out of my comfort zone but I like the end result.

Here is the fabric that I used for today's card.  It was left over from some flags I made for a centerpiece in my kitchen.  I thought it reminded me of summer.

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your week!

I love the way this came out Amy. It makes me want to go pull out some red, white and blue and get to work!
