All My Love.....{Double Duty Stamping}

Hello my blogging friends!  Hope all is well with you all!  The card I am sharing today is a little shabby/rustic number that is simple but with a touch of elegance. Hope you like it.....

The sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink Love Lives Here Holiday stamp set.  I did a little bit of selective stamping for this little goodie.  I just taped off the "for Christmas" portion of the stamp while I inked the stamp.  Before stamping the sentiment I simply took the tape off and stamped as usual.  The only portion that stamped was the "All My Love" and there ya go!  I just doubled the use of my stamp since I didn't have to use it solely for a Christmas project.  This is a clever use of maximizing your stamps.  Try looking around at your own stash to see what stamps you could use this technique with.  I bet you'd be surprised how many options open up for you!!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #99: Repeats & Rainbows

Hello everyone!  Hope all is well with you.  I just wanted to share a card I made for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge.  The challenge was to use one of the six color schemes provided by Nichole Heady and create a repeating stamped or die cut pattern using the rainbow of colors.  Here is what I came up with.  Hope you like it!
I selected Color Scheme No. 2 for my project.

This project was a lot of fun and took me out of my comfort zone a little bit.  I enjoyed the challenge and will probably refer back to the color schemes for future projects.  It took the guess work out of the equation for me as far as colors which is sometimes my hardest decision to make!!  I didn't take a picture of the inside of the card but I just embossed the sentiment from the Heart-2-Heart #6 set that says "I hope brighter skies come your way soon!"

Thanks for stopping by!

{Holiday Thank You}

Happy New Year everyone!  Hope you all had a very fun and safe holiday season.  Today was a nice and quiet day around our house.  We slept in and took it easy for most of the day.  I convinced my hubby to help me take down the tree and get things back in order.  Although I love the decorations and lights around the house, it is nice to get things back to normal.  It is surprising how quickly things can be taken down and put away...if only they went up that fast!!

I wanted to share a thank you card I made especially for holiday gifts.  It came together rather quickly and I love how it turned out.  I used the Remarkable Wreath stamp from Close to My Heart and also the pine stamp from Papertrey Ink's Love Lives Here Holiday set.  The sentiment was also from PTI and it was from Think Big Favorites #4.  I embossed the sentiment with Filigree White embossing powder and I love how it jumps off of the card.  The little berries were punched out from the Owl Punch from Stampin' Up!  I used a little baker's twine from Martha Stewart to anchor the pine branches to the twig wreath.  Very simple but I love the look!  I also faux stitched a white border around the card to tie everything together.

Hope you like today's card.  Please be sure to stop back soon for another project.

Thanks for stopping by!
