{Prim} Love

Hello everyone!  I am back today to share a card that I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day!  It is no surprise to anyone that knows me that I love anything primitive.  The older and grungier the better!  I had this idea floating in my head for a while and it was inspired by a primitive sampler.  You'll never guessed what stamp set I used to make this Valentine's card!  I used the Love Lives Here Holiday stamp set!!  Who would think a Christmas set!  I was really pleased with this when I was finished.

I even packaged it up in a little glassine bag with a belly band to complete the look.  Very rustic!

The sentiment was from Papertrey Ink's Think Big Favorites #23.  I also used the Sew Simple Borders set from PTI to create the stitching around the edges.  The ink used was Barn Red from Close To My Heart and from PTI: Smokey Shadow, Dark Chocolate and Ripe Avocado.  I also used some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink to make it appear grungy like a stained sampler.  The little bucket was die cut from the Love Lives Here Holiday die, it is supposed to be part of the tree.  I just turned it upside down to make the bucket.  It was stamped in Smokey Shadow to simulate a tin bucket.  The tag on the belly band was die cut from the Tiny Tags die from PTI.

PTI Design Team Inspriation Challenge

Hello everyone!  Today's card was created to play along with another one of Papertrey Ink's Challenges.  This particular challenge was to create a project that was inspired by one of Papertrey Ink's Design Team members favorite projects.  You can read about it here.  I choose a sweet little number from Danielle Flanders.  She is one of my favorites!  I absolutely love her style.  Anyway, here is my card, hope you like it!

I used the Rosie Posie Stamp set along with coordinating dies to make this card.  I also used the Doily Details Die.  The ink used was Melon Berry, Simply Chartreuse and Basic Black.  I also used Filigree embossing powder in white.

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge: Entry #3

Hello once again!  I am back one final time tonight to post my last entry into the Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge.  Once I saw the sketches I thought it would be nice to use lace instead of paper for the lines of the card.  I dug through my vintage stash and found some lace tape I bought a couple of years ago.  If it is hidden away, I totally forget about it!  Well I used it on my card and it was really sticky!  In retrospect, I wish I would have wrapped it around the edges for a more finished look but I was in a hurry so I get what I get, right?  Even though I wasn't really happy with how the edges turned out, I posted the card anyway.  I just wanted another chance to win the gift certificate so why not??

The patterned paper is from Simple Stories and the sentiment is from PTI's Think Big Favorites #19.  The buttons are also PTI.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge: Entry #2

Hello again!  I am back with another project for the Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge.  This card is very neutral with a touch of rustic elegance.

This card features the beautiful Iconic Images Stamp set.  I stamped the pitcher in Smokey Shadow and the little medallions in Classic Kraft.  Very simple and understated but perfect for a sympathy card.

This is the sketch I used:
Thanks for stopping by!  I have one more card to share with you tonight.

See you soon!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #103: The Diecut Double Up

Hello!  I am joining you with a little something I made for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday: The Diecut Double Up.  This challenge was a lot of fun to play.  It is amazing how many different things you can come up with once you really take a look at your stash of supplies!

I used my Papertrey Ink dies to create this little treat!  The dies I used were:  Block Alphabet, Spiral Notebook Page Die, Limitless Layers 1-3/4" Circle Die, Postage Die, Heart-2-Heart #11 Die.  I also used a heart pinking shears punch from EK Success.  The little puffy heart on the cork is from EK Success: Trendy Hearts.

Hello!  I am back today to play along with Papertrey Ink's Sketch Challenge.  I did not have a lot of time to play today but I was able to squeeze out a few entries.
This card was based on this sketch:

This is a tiny card, my favorite!  I used the Love Lives Here stamp set and die.  I also used the Sew Simple Stamp set in Dark Chocolate for the stitching.  The patterned paper is from Simple Stories and just adds a warm touch.  The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the Congrats All The Way stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!! I have another entry coming up soon.

{be mine}

Hello again.  Just stopping by to share a project that I made with some new products I bought a while back.  I used a new stamp and die that I bought from WPlus9 Design Studio.  I stumbled upon their website by accident and I am sure glad that I did!  I bought some dies and stamps to start out and have to say I am totally happy with them.  The quality of their stamps is awesome, right up there with Papertrey Ink in my opinion.  I love that the are solid stamps, not squishy so they give a nice stamped image.

The background was stamped in Pure Poppy from PTI with the Background Builders: Hearts set from WPlus9.  The sentiment "be mine" is from PTI's Think Big Favorites #23.  The little envelopes are also from WPlus9 and are cut from the Love Notes Die.  Too cute!  The sentiment was stamped on some Pure Poppy Bitty Dot cardstock from PTI using the Jenni Bowlin tab punch.  The heart was die cut with PTI's Framed Out #11 die using Pure Poppy cardstock.  The little sack is just a little brown bag folded in half and stitched up the sides to make a pocket to put the mail in.

Hope you had a wonderful week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, I am back with my final entry for the Papertrey Ink Challenge.  This card was a lot of fun to make since it was so fresh and modern.  I love this image from Maile Belles.  She has a wonderful eye for details and I love her style.

The background was stamped from the Background Basics: Herringbone in Melon Berry.  The little arrow stamp is from the Desktop File: Inspiration.  I also used a little wood veneer heart from Studio Calico.

Well that about wraps it up for me....thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Papertrey Ink Free Printables Contest: Entry #3

Hello again!  I am back with entry #3 for the Papertrey Ink Challenge.  This card was made from the download designed by Dawn McVey.  I love her style!  Her designs are always so colorful and refreshing.

This is a tiny card, but they are my favorite!  I used the Dark Chocolate Bitty Dots Basics cardstock for the background.  I used the Heart 2 Heart #11 die and cut a bunch of hearts out of Hawaiian Shores cardstock and adhered them to the back of the punched out image.  I then used the 1" circle punch to punch out the sentiment from an extra copy and popped it up in the middle.

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be back with my fourth and final entry soon!

Papertrey Ink Free Printables Contest: Entry #1

Hello everyone! Papertrey Ink is turning six and in honor of their anniversary they are having contests throughout the week.  Today's contest is to use an image from their free printables download to create a project.  You can read all about it here. You can enter as many times as you like so I have whipped up a few projects in hopes of winning some customized stamps!  How exciting is that?

The team of designers at Papertrey Ink is top notch and always blow me away with their beautiful projects.  Every one of the designers have their own unique style and the inspiration is endless!

For my first project I chose an image from one of my favorite designers, Heather Nichols.  Hope you like it!
In addition to the download, I used Big & Bold Wishes and Star Prints from PTI.  It was difficult to tell what color to use since I printed the card on my printer.  I used Aqua Mist and Basic Black ink but the button is Ocean Tides.

Stay tuned.....I am going to post my second entry soon.

Thanks for stopping by!
