{Prim} Love

Hello everyone!  I am back today to share a card that I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day!  It is no surprise to anyone that knows me that I love anything primitive.  The older and grungier the better!  I had this idea floating in my head for a while and it was inspired by a primitive sampler.  You'll never guessed what stamp set I used to make this Valentine's card!  I used the Love Lives Here Holiday stamp set!!  Who would think a Christmas set!  I was really pleased with this when I was finished.

 I even packaged it up in a little glassine bag with a belly band to complete the look.  Very rustic!

The sentiment was from Papertrey Ink's Think Big Favorites #23.  I also used the Sew Simple Borders set from PTI to create the stitching around the edges.  The ink used was Barn Red from Close To My Heart and from PTI: Smokey Shadow, Dark Chocolate and Ripe Avocado.  I also used some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink to make it appear grungy like a stained sampler.  The little bucket was die cut from the Love Lives Here Holiday die, it is supposed to be part of the tree.  I just turned it upside down to make the bucket.  It was stamped in Smokey Shadow to simulate a tin bucket.  The tag on the belly band was die cut from the Tiny Tags die from PTI.
